Senior Squad coaching involves planning the major targeted meets for the season each year for each squad member, implementing and if necessary, adjusting those plans in the light of results, so that optimum performance is achieved at the most important meets. Thus, each session coached fits into an overall season master plan. Coach aims and aspirations for squad members is to have of them realise their potential and ambitions as a competitive swimmer. Each member has to show 100% dedication and contribute fully towards the Squad's development. We seek feedback from squad members actively.

The main competition targets for Senior Squad swimmers are: Senior Nationals, National Age Groups, Southern Counties, Middlesex Age Groups and the Speedo League London. Open meets are swum to give race experience and also to evaluate Squad members' progress.

Senior Squad sessions are planned towards all of the major competitions of the year such as the Senior Nationals. At this standard, swimmers have already learned everything they need to practice, perfected their strokes and build up their stamina.

Within the Senior Squad is a National Development Squad. This is a selection of a few swimmers who are fully dedicated to swimming and to competing in the national events.

Swimmers are required to attend sessions totalling 7.5 hours of training per week. There are a number of training sessions available, including early morning.
